For the Sixth Time, MedPlus Receives Top Ranking From Healthcare Professionals

December 15, 2009

CINCINNATI – December 15, 2009 – MedPlus, the healthcare information technology subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics (NYSE:DGX), announced today that its ChartMaxx® enterprise-wide electronic patient record system has been ranked as the top healthcare Document Management and Imaging (DMI) software product, according to the 2009 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report. This is an independent ranking based on customer feedback on top healthcare information technology (HIT) vendors. KLAS, an independent research firm, bases its rankings on interviews with healthcare executives, professionals and clinicians at more than 4,500 hospitals and 2,500 clinics. DMI software vendors provide products that can scan, create, archive, workflow and validate electronically stored documents and images.
In the report, ChartMaxx secured the highest overall score and product quality rating. In addition, 98 percent of customers said they would buy ChartMaxx again.

“For more than a decade, the Best in KLAS awards have recognized healthcare technology companies that set the standard for delivering the best experience to providers,” said KLAS President Adam Gale. “The Best in KLAS distinction honors more than just a good product or service. It represents a commitment to meeting customer expectations in every phase of the buying process – from the sales presentation to implementation to ongoing service and support.”

“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized as ‘Best in KLAS’ for the sixth time because it tells us that our customers appreciate our commitment to providing solutions that exceed expectations,” said Richard Mahoney, MedPlus president and vice president of Healthcare Information Solutions for Quest Diagnostics. “In today’s environment of constrained spending and competing priorities, selecting a vendor that is proven and reliable can help healthcare organizations to establish solid partnerships and realize greater ROI.”
