Lakeland to Integrate ChartMaxx with Epic

May 24, 2011

Lakeland HealthCare, the largest health system in Michigan's Great Southwest, has selected the ChartMaxx Epic integration package to enhance the Epic implementation at their facilities.

Lakeland HealthCare has been a ChartMaxx customer since 2003. Loren B. Hamel, M.D., President & Chief Executive Officer, says, "Choosing to integrate ChartMaxx with our Epic information system helps us to leverage the best of both worlds. Our physicians have come to depend on ChartMaxx for access to the patient's historical record. By integrating ChartMaxx with Epic, we will continue to provide this access for our physicians, but now it's integrated right into the Epic screens - giving them a single place to find all clinical information for their patients."

The comprehensive integration package includes document access, printing/release of information, single document scanning, and EOB processing. Lakeland HealthCare will enhance its IT strategy by seamlessly providing access to the prospective and retrospective patient chart, and the tools necessary for chart management for both clinical and operational users.
