Connect to Hospitals and other Provider Systems

MedPlus’ Centergy solution leads the way towards true interoperability with other provider networks and data sources, supporting local, regional and state HIEs. MedPlus' Centergy suite consists of highly scalable, interconnected healthcare solutions, all built on a common data hub that was designed to support the connectivity needs for a national physician community.

The solution backbone currently supports over 160,000 physicians and processes over one million transactions each day. Through our work with regional and statewide initiatives, we have demonstrated our ability to easily interface to other data sources such as hospital information systems, other HIEs, Surescripts®, and payer systems. Centergy creates a patient-centric clinical record that can be viewed and accessed through a variety of end user systems, whether that be one of the more than 100 EMRs with which we have interfaced, our own ambulatory EHR, or a third party portal.

Our Centergy infrastructure supports a variety of clinical transactions between providers including lab ordering and results delivery, electronic prescribing, clinical messaging and radiology. We create a standardized clinical data exchange hub for a community – regardless of the ambulatory systems in use. Recognizing the role that recipients play within a health information exchange, MedPlus also provides a Patient Exchange service which currently supports secure medical data exchange with personal health platforms such as Microsoft® HealthVault™ and Google® Health.

In addition, MedPlus fully supports the National Health Information Network (NHIN) Gateway and MITA integration standards. In fact, MedPlus has implemented Centergy for one third of the original NHIN 2 contractors.
