Brian L. Brown

Vice President, Development and Technical Operations

Brian L. Brown has been with MedPlus for 11 years and in 2006 was named Vice President, Development and Technical Operations.  Mr. Brown oversees development and quality assurance for all of MedPlus’ product lines, including Care360™ and ChartMaxx®.  In addition, Mr. Brown oversees the operations of the MedPlus data center where the hosted applications are managed. 

From 2003 thru 2006, Mr. Brown was Vice President of Care360 Professional Services. During this time Mr. Brown had responsibility for project management, training, customer support, and account management for MedPlus' Care360 product offering.

Mr. Brown originally joined the Company’s Worktiviti subsidiary in June of 1994. From 1994 through 2002, he held many different positions within Worktiviti, ranging from Vice President of Product Development to General Manager. In 2002 he transitioned into the MedPlus corporate organization as Vice President of OptiMaxx® Professional Service and Director of ChartMaxx Project Management.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Brown was Director of the Product Development for IMIX Corporation and oversaw the development of a high volume document imaging application. Prior to that, he was a software engineer and technical manager at Access Corporation. Mr. Brown has contributed to trade journal articles related to workflow management technology.

Mr. Brown graduated magna cum laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a BS in Applied Science.
