MedPlus is proud to provide comprehensive medical coverage. MedPlus offers several plan choices to meet the differing needs of our workforce. Some of the highlights of this coverage are:
MedPlus provides a comprehensive dental plan. There are no out-of-pocket expenses for routine exams, cleanings, x-rays and emergency treatment. The plan includes orthodontia coverage.
MedPlus provides term life in a lump sum to each employee. Additional amounts may be purchased via payroll deduction.
As a voluntary benefit to our employees, MedPlus offers income replacement for short and long term periods of total disability for pregnancy, illness or injury. The cost is based on salary, and paid via payroll deduction.
All full-time and part-time employees of the company are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. This Plan allows you to provide for income during your retirement under the rules provided by the IRS.
The 401(k) Plan is intended to provide an income for you during your retirement. However, if you need to access your account before you retire, you may do so in the form of loans and withdrawals, with certain restrictions. The Plan has many investment fund choices, including Fidelity Investment funds and Quest Diagnostics stock.
MedPlus offers both a Flexible Spending Account and a Dependent Care Account. Employees may elect to have a pretax amount withheld from their paycheck, resulting in an increase in discretionary income by reducing taxes. These accounts can be used to reimburse out-of-pocket, qualified health and dependent/childcare expenses.
Eligible employees can purchase Quest Diagnostics stock through the ESPP plan. Participants in this Plan will receive a company contribution equal to an additional 15% over and above the amount the employee puts into the Plan. When Quest Diagnostics stock is purchased under this Plan, the company pays any applicable brokerage fees.
MedPlus will reimburse its employees for degree programs associated with their positions within the Company. The plan allows for 100% tuition reimbursement if the employee receives a grade of A or B in each eligible class.
Direct Deposit to the bank(s) of your choice is required for payroll and expense reimbursement checks.
