Job Summary:

 Responsible for filling all open and approved positions in a timely and economic manner. 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies.
  • Work with hiring managers to fully understand the position.
  • Assist in writing effective job descriptions for postings.
  • Review resumes as they come into jobs@medplus.com.
  • Post position on the Company’s website and all external websites.
  • Abide by the Company’s affirmative action plan and EEO statement.
  • Determine if resumes are a good match.
  • Tactfully turn away applicants who are not a good match.
  • Conduct telephone interviews for resume matches.
  • Set up and participate in first interviews with hiring managers for those who pass the telephone interview stage.
  • Perform all applicable testing
  • Perform all background checks and reference checking
  • Assist hiring managers in making educated decisions on who to hire
  • Make sure all Hiring Logs are completed and maintained for EEO compliance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Perception – ability to relate to individuals at all levels
  • Sensitivity – to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the public image.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Considerable skill in interviewing techniques
  • A good knowledge of technical and other specialized functions in the Company
  • A basic understanding of the Company's organizational structure
  • Extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 – 5 years technical recruiting experience.
  • Experience working full life cycle recruiting activities.
  • Microsoft Office experience a must.
