Sr M & E Engineer

ChartMaxx Engineer – Special Projects/Advanced Support

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing third tier technical support to ChartMaxx Customers as well as designing and developing custom solutions. This position would be a member of the ChartMaxx “Maintenance and Enhancement Team”.

Principle Responsibilities:

Provide strong third tier technical support to ChartMaxx clients.
Handle complex technical support issues with Windows and Web clients.
Design and develop custom solutions, diagnostic utilities, and other internal applications.
Experience in all aspects of the software development process – requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Serve as a local expert and resource in Windows and Web technologies.
Work with product development staff on selected design and development assignments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong background in Visual Basic 6, including use of API calls.
Experience designing applications that use Oracle or similar RDBMS.
Knowledge of web development desired, but not required.
Strong customer interaction skills: enjoys helping customers solve problems.
Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to learn new tools and technologies in an unstructured environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent on-the-job experience is preferred.
Visual Basic 6, including use of API calls.
Oracle or similar RDBMS
UNIX operating systems a plus.
