Technical Lead, Implementations
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the installation of Care360 Product Releases into the Production environment. This position participates in Care360 release planning meetings and identifies all Network operations, server operations, and Application support operations deliverables for a Product release. The Technical lead provides status updates to SDLC and ensures timely completion of these deliverables.
Principal Responsibilities:
- The Technical Lead - Implementations is responsible for coordinating, planning and overseeing the implementation of all the release deployment activities. These include but are not limited to:
- Review the Release packages and identify any potential issues, concerns from Technology services perspective.
- Identify impact of the release on the TS functional teams and communicate it to the functional managers.
- Identify requirements for additional hardware, storage, firewall changes, network bandwidth requirements etc., needed for the new product release.
- Outside of product releases, the technical lead will also be responsible for coordinating any large technology services internal maintenance activities.
- Maintain and publish TS Release Calendar that shows all completed and scheduled releases (new versions and patches).
- Ensure proper configuration management of all software components in the Stage, Certification, Production and DR environments.
- Ensure all software components are on the service pack, revision levels required to support the new product release.
- Ensure all pre-requisite items for the release (setup of new servers, setup of any new third party software components etc) are completed as necessary to support release schedule.
- Facilitate training, knowledge transfer to Tech services on the support of new application functionality.
- Manage the deployment of the new release to the stage and production environments.
- Manage the TS elements of implementation of new customer interfaces and coordinate with PSG teams to ensure all work is completed as necessary to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Build task list for the activities during the release deployment window.
- Communicate status of the release deployment activities to stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Project management experience
- Must understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software and hardware.
- Prior experience leading Production rollouts of software, hardware.
- Proven experience dealing with critical customer impacting, production applications.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of eight years of IT experience.
- 3 + Years of project management, technical lead experience.
- Multi-platform exposure desirable: Linux, Windows, HP-UX , Sun Solaris
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- BS in Computer Science or related field of study preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Technical Project Management experience.
- ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
