Regional Director, Technology Sales - West

Job Summary:

The Director, Physician Sales is responsible for the direct sales of MedPlus IT solutions while driving measurable laboratory revenue growth for the Quest Diagnostics Physician and Hospital business organizations. The Director will leverage all available sales and sales support resources between the MedPlus and Quest Diagnostics sales organizations – with special emphasis on the Technical Sales Specialist team members aligned to specific territory. This is a healthcare technology sales position and requires specific experience of complex solution sales to large healthcare organizations.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Drive and manage sales of MedPlus IT solutions to physicians, physician organizations and other related healthcare technology purchasers.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate sales with regional Technology Account Executives (TAE) and Technology Sales Consultants (TSC) teams to achieve IT regional sales objectives.
  • Build and manage the relationship between Quest Diagnostics sales teams and the MedPlus sales teams to drive alignment with lab revenue sales goals and IT selling strategies.
  • Develop customer specific IT Sales strategies for applicable territories.
  • Coordinate selling activities in conjunction with TSS reps and other MedPlus Sales and Sales Support teams as necessary.
  • Coordinate and implement the sales process for the field sales teams.
  • Provide and participate in the collection of Voice of Customer feedback for MedPlus product direction and strategy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in technology and healthcare IT sales – including specific experience with complex sales to large health care organizations
  • Experience in supervising a large external technical sales force
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
  • Ability to work with sales, marketing, operations, development and executive teams
  • Ability to interface effectively with MedPlus’ senior management team as well as Quest Diagnostics business unit sales force

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent on the job experience
  • 3-5 years experience in senior sales management role
  • 7-10 years experience in healthcare
