Enterprise Management Engineer

Job Summary:
Experienced technician will develop, design and support for cross-functional Enterprise Management applications. The perfect candidate will be create full enterprise management portal from ground up by building new tools while also integrating with tools already in the process of being implemented. This role will require writing tools or applications that will automate manual metric gathering and reporting, displaying them from a dashboard/portal, as well as writing applications to be used to support a technical operation.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Create, Install, configure and administer enterprise management tools for a production 24x7x365 operation.
  • Responsible for the design, development and deployment of tools, technologies and assisting in establishment of process/procedures that enable the operations organization to install, maintain, and support products and solutions.
  • This person should be able to create tools when existing tools do not meet business needs or do not exist.
  • Work closely with other organizations to develop templates/views and other configurations to customize HP Service Manager for a variety of functional teams. In addition, writing interfaces between disparate systems to allow for automated data transfers.
  • Integration of tools to enable end to end incident workflows (monitoring, alerting, tracking and responding).
  • Creation and management of a single portal or dashboard that will aggregate views for all monitoring and reporting applications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Senior level experience in networking protocols and programming languages: Java, Web Technologies such as IIS, Apache, and Application Servers is critical.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be resourceful and self motivated. Must have the ability to effectively interface with users, technical staff and management.
  • Must work well in a fast paced and changing environment with high expectations for execution.
  • Must be able to convert user needs into documented application requirements and execute.
  • Experience with networking protocols and infrastructure, UNIX and Windows server administration, various scripting languages and application integration desired.
  • Experience with a 24X7X365 IT infrastructures and infrastructure management environments a plus.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA Requirements and ITIL Standards a plus.
  • Experience with HP Service Manager or other Help-Desk/Configuration Management tools a plus.
  • IT Service Management (ITIL) experience or certification a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Computer Sciences, MIS, or related degree desirable.
  • Candidate must have 7-10 years of Application Development experience.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
