David A. Rapperport

Vice President, Diagnostic Services Group

David A. Rapperport is Vice President of the Diagnostic Services Group at MedPlus. He is primarily responsible for software development and quality assurance for the Care360® suite of solutions, including Care360 EHR with Data Exchange.

Mr. Rapperport has more than 18 years of healthcare software development experience. He joined Quest Diagnostics, the parent company of MedPlus, in 1995. In 2004, he was named Manager of Application Architecture and Design at MedPlus in the Diagnostics Services Group. During this time, he was responsible for software development, innovation and architecture for Care360 applications.

In 2010, Mr. Rapperport led MedPlus in achieving CMMI Level 5 certification from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), demonstrating the commitment that the company has to develop high-quality software products that provide easy customer availability, scalability and process improvement.

Mr. Rapperport is a respected member of the IT community, and has been a guest speaker at the Ajax World Conference. He also is a past winner of the InterSystems Innovator Award, and his name appears on a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for laboratory ordering and reporting.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida International University, and a master’s degree in IT management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, New York.
